I daresay, reader, that I never fared much in the Drylands. This most of the fear of actually getting lost and not finding my way out of the dry, desolate desert this heartland has become. There’s more or less nothing to gain here, no water nor valuable resources to find. Not even the sand itself is of any worth outside any rational thinking.
If I wound recommend you, traveler, stay away from the Drylands.
Well, there’s of course those who are good at faring the sand-sea; the nomads for one are experts at this field and if I were you, something I most certainly am quite happy for, I would seek up these sandriders for help and guidance.
Another thing that I experienced during my short visits to the desert, always with said nomads I daresay, was the talk of something they called the “House of the Steel Termites”. They also said to never go there, since they consider it to be a cursed place.
